AI-Powered Experiment Documentation Assistant for Signals ELN
Case studies

Challenge

A major global biopharma company conducting over 100,000 experiments annually faced a productivity bottleneck in experiment documentation within Signals Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN). Scientists manually reviewed experiment data and prepared structured summaries, consuming thousands of hours and creating inconsistencies in documentation.

Solution

Quantori implemented an AI Experiment Assistant integrated directly within the Signals ELN environment. The team built a secure API  — based integration to retrieve experiment data and process both structured and unstructured content, enabling the AI-powered generation of experiment summaries, structured outputs, and visualizations right inside the ELN interface. Furthermore, automated data synchronization, validation, and standardized documentation workflows were established to support consistent scientific records, all while ensuring secure operation within the client’s enterprise infrastructure using controlled access and governed deployment practices.

Outcome

The new assistant reduced manual experiment summary preparation, saving 15 to 30 minutes per experiment and eliminating thousands of hours of administrative workload annually across research teams. In addition to accelerating access to reliable experimental data and improving overall research operational efficiency, the solution transformed Signals ELN into an AI-ready data foundation, creating a scalable scientific data platform to support future analytics and AI initiatives.
